Humor is a powerful catalyst for change. If you’ve been to Burlington, you know we’re different up here. CarShare Vermont wanted to use humor to raise awareness about the extremes we go through to save the environment. That’s why Place developed the tagline “It’s Easier than You Think.” Place created a series of three climate change videos that spoofed on the popular cult show, Portlandia. In Burlingtopia, residents downsized to a tiny car, led a kale-only diet, and didn’t turn the heat on. In comparison to such crazy decisions, we positioned CarShare Vermont as an easier alternative to reducing carbon emissions.
